Ken Efting
Airport Director
Ken Efting joined F3 Airport in 2022 as the Airport Director of Muskegon County Airport (MKG). Ken is responsible for managerial oversight of airport operations, infrastructure maintenance, tenant relations and executing the strategic direction on behalf of the client for the 1,200-acre airport. Additionally, he collaborates with municipal, state and federal agencies to maintain regulatory compliance required for commercial air service.
Ken retired from the United States Air Force in 2022 after a distinguished 20-year active-duty career in operations, maintenance and logistics management. His broad range of experience in both domestic and worldwide airfield operations is supported by a comprehensive background in strategic planning, security, continuous process improvement, risk management, quality assurance and training/developing personnel. He is a high-level communicator with extensive knowledge and application of leadership philosophy, team dynamics and a solid reputation for clear and effective communication with diverse audiences from various cultural, economic, political, educational and cross-functional backgrounds. He is highly skilled at managing budgets, costs, schedules, performance and developing personnel to meet goals for both the company and the client.
Ken’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Project Management from Liberty University. He and his family are originally from the West Michigan area.
